World Superbike Championship in Assen 11/04-13/04/2025

TIPS FOR FANS

One of the best things about the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) is its focus on fan interaction. Whether it’s through paddock access or special fan events, you have plenty of opportunities to meet riders, collect autographs, or snap a photo.

Fanzones
Fanzones often host rider appearances as part of promotional activities. Stay updated through the social media pages of event organizers, teams, riders, and sponsors for schedules and locations. These areas are a laid-back setting for meeting riders, making it a convenient option for fans.

Around the circuit
Riders often stay offsite at nearby hotels and typically enter the circuit through designated parking areas near the main entrance. Arriving early can increase your chances of spotting them before the day’s program begins. Riders often prefer to arrive early to avoid traffic, so keep this in mind when planning your visit.

The Paddock Show
Unique to WorldSBK, the Paddock Show is a must-see. It offers live commentary, rider interviews, autograph sessions, and interactive chat shows. It’s the perfect venue for fans to connect with riders and enjoy hours of entertainment.

Pit Lane Walk
The Pit Lane Walk offers fans an insider look at the action-packed racing environment. Walk along the pit lane, observe the teams working on their bikes, and even interact with riders. This event is usually held on both Saturday and Sunday, but spaces are limited and often require a special pass or wristband, so plan ahead to secure your spot.

Victory Lane
Victory Lane is a unique fan experience in WorldSBK. After each Superpole session and race, the top three riders pass through the paddock on their way to Parc Fermé and the podium, offering fans the chance to cheer, shake hands, and connect with the heroes of the race.

Dos and don’ts when meeting riders

  • Respect Their Time: Riders have tight schedules and are often under significant pressure. If they seem in a hurry, respect their boundaries.
  • Bring Official Merchandise: Riders are more likely to sign team gear, programs, or event memorabilia. Avoid handing them random items like plain paper.
  • Request Photos Courteously: Politely ask for a photo and, if possible, have someone else take it for you rather than trying for a selfie. Always respect their personal space.

Best Places to Watch the Race
Check out our grandstand guides to find the perfect spot for viewing. Whether you’re after thrilling corners, close-up action, or prime photo opportunities, choose your location wisely.

Additional Tip
Be prepared for long distances when moving around the circuit, especially with large crowds!
